The first step is to ensure you have enrolled, when enrollment is available. If you are using an integrated tax software program (Drake, TaxSlayer, OLT, ATS, Crosslink and Rushtax), you will enroll within the tax program. If you are using a non-integrated tax software program you can renew within the 2024 Refundo Dashboard for access to the 2025 Refundo Dashboard.

Next, you will want to complete the compliance test within the 2025 Refundo Dashboard. Note that there is also a study guide within the dashboard to assist you in preparing for the test. You are required to take the compliance test each year. Only the admin on the account is required to pass the compliance test but we do recommend that everyone take the test if they are preparing taxes. Also be aware that the office will not get credit for completion of the test if a regular user takes the test.

Other items to note are:

  1. Printer setup- Simply go to your 'Checks' section of the dashboard and follow the outlined steps. We recommend that you scan a check and make up to 10 copies in order to test your printer alignment. Note that if you are also printing NOW advance checks, the alignment may be different and you will want to test your alignment with the NOW checks as well.

  2. Ordering supplies- Go to the 'Supplies' tab within the 2025 dashboard to order supplies such as marketing materials and checks. Note that if you plan to use the same bank that you used last season, you can use the old check stock from last season.

  3. Ordering debit cards- If you are enrolled and have passed the compliance test, you can order Netspend cards from the supplies tab starting in mid to late Dec. and up to the point the program closes in early May.

  4. Reviewing the user agreement- We always recommend you thoroughly review our user agreement as there may be changes each tax season.

  5. Reports- For new customers we recommend you familiarize yourself with the numerous reports we offer. Simply go to the 'Report' tab within the 2025 dashboard to review the reports offered.
