Refundo offers several ways for taxpayers to check the status of their refund. First, they can check the IRS Website for information. We recommend that they download our Where’s My Refundo Mobile App to receive the most up to date information about the status of their refund right from their mobile phone. The app is available on iOS and Android.

Upon receiving funds from the IRS:
Checks are available to print at 6pm EST the day before the IRS funding date but we recommend giving the check to your clients on the actual funding date. This allows time for the funds to hit the positive pay report, which is used by banks to verify funds. If the client is getting direct deposit, the funds will NOT be available before the date indicated on the IRS or state website.
Direct deposit should be available in their account the day after the funding date. It is critical to let taxpayers know that we have to receive the funds and then process a DD. Most receiving banks will post the credit the following business day or day after the funding date.
If your clients use Chime or another equivalent service provider, they advertise receiving paychecks/payments 3-5 days early. Note this is a reoccurring deposit with a history. The tax refund is a once a year event which typically does not meet the standards of Chime and others in regards to making the funds available early.
* NOTE: Taxpayers should wait 2 hours after picking up their checks before cashing them. Trying to cash checks sooner may not work.
If the date indicated on the IRS website has already passed and we have not received your refund, it is possible that your refund was offset. Please view this article for more information.
